What happens when you try to balance the love and hate in your life? Just ask Papa Roach, whose Lovehatetragedy comes out Tuesday (June 18). The follow-up to Infest features the single "She Loves Me Not" and finds frontman Jacoby Shaddix (f.k.a. Coby Dick) grappling with marital strife.

As the guitar player for Alice in Chains and friend of their late frontman, Layne Staley, Jerry Cantrell is also familiar with moody music. He serves up Degradation Trip, his first album since 1998's Boggy Depot.

On a lighter note, Wyclef Jean's not hiding his enthusiasm that Masquerade hits stores this week, while Guided By Voices and their Universal Truths and Cycles share shelf space with Our Lady Peace's Gravity, Paulina Rubio's Border Girl and Paul Oakenfold's Bunkka, which features Nelly Furtado, Perry Farrell, Ice Cube and Tricky.

Finally, a bunch of Essentials and Anthology albums from greats such as Alice Cooper, Devo and Cameo hit shelves as well. Word up.

Remember the 1985 hit "Word Up?" Well, if your memory's a little foggy, it might be clearing up soon.

Cameo, the funk group responsible for such hits as "Word Up," "She's Mine," and "Candy" is making its return with a new album and a several upcoming concert dates.

"Sexy Sweet Thing" is Cameo's first studio album since 1994's "In The Face Of Funk" and is scheduled for release on April 18 on frontman Larry Blackmon's own BMD Records label.

The group is also heading out on a radio and retail promotional tour that includes several performance dates. Cameo will make stops in Orlando, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York City, Detroit, Chicago, and Nashville. Performance dates include April 29 in Miami and May 5 in Tampa.

The title track from "Sexy Sweet Thing" is being released as the first single and features rapper Kool Ace.

Cameo was formed in 1976 by Larry Blackmon and was originally called The New York City Players. The group scored several gold albums in the early '80s and also wrote and produced several tracks on Bobby Brown's 1987 solo debut LP, "King Of Stage."
