As of late, the Clipse have been flooding the game with something a little different from their typical subject matter. The past few weeks, the Brothers Thornton have released videos for their "I'm Good" remix with Rick Ross and the gritty street record "Doorman."

The Virginia duo re-upped on Monday (November 16), debuting another video, "Popular Demand (Popeye's)," featuring Cam'ron. Pusha T told MTV News last month that the video would continue their trend of videos shot guerrilla-style, because they technically weren't allowed to shoot in New York.

"We're going to have to do something else guerilla and renegade, because there's problem in NYC about shooting videos and being a rapper," Pusha explained. "If you're a rapper, you just can't shoot videos."

Though he had worried they'd have to shoot in Connecticut, the video looks like it was ultimately shot in Brooklyn — you can see the 3 train's Sutter Ave. and Rutland Rd. stop in the background. Malice and Pusha also managed to recruit Killa Cam for the video which features all three of them rapping and eating with a crowd at Obama Fried Chicken (rather than the Popeye's the lyrics suggest).

The Clipse, who will be performing with both Rick Ross and Cam at the mtvU Woodie Awards on Wednesday night, said this was their second attempt to collaborate with Cam'ron.

"That was the wild part about it, because when 'Grindin' came out, [Cam'ron's] 'Oh Boy' was crazy too," Pusha said, describing how Cam declined to be on their "Grindin' " remix. Malice added that this time around, Cam was about the business from the jump: "He definitely made sure you pay him first before he makes a move. Straight up!"

The "Popular Demand" video is slightly more upbeat than their "Doorman" clip, which is filled with dark scenes of drug activity (and actually features a shot of an MTVNews.com article about their manager being charged with leading a $10 million drug ring). "The Clipse done been through a lot, and we lost a lot of family — and when I say family, I mean, like, people that were down with us, near and dear to our heart, entourage, people that helped build this whole Clipse thing up together," Malice said. "We've been through a lot, but we still like to celebrate."

Pusha warned that the group will continue to flood the game with more material, from a mixtape to even more viral content in November, leading up to the December 8 release of Till the Casket Drops. "The levees are about to break."

The list of nominees reads like an iPod party mix, so naturally, the 2009 mtvU Woodie Awards have lined up an eclectic list of performers and presenters too.

Passion Pit and the Clipse — featuring Cam'ron and Rick Ross — have just been confirmed to perform at the sixth-annual Woodies, joining already-announced acts Death Cab for Cutie, the Dead Weather and Matt & Kim. Breakout Woodie nominees Passion Pit will be performing their breakout single "The Reeling," while the Clipse will take on a pair of tracks, teaming with Cam on "Popular Demand (Popeye's)" and Ross for "I'm Good." Genre-blurring DJ/producer Diplo, who lately has been spending time as one half of Major Lazer, has also been announced as the house DJ for the night.

But all the onstage action won't just be of the performance variety. On Monday (November 16), the Woodies also announced a slate of big-name presenters, including Pete Wentz, Zooey Deschanel, 3OH!3, Mary-Louise Parker, David Cross, Janelle Monáe, and Woodie of the Year nominee Asher Roth.

The 2009 mtvU Woodie Awards will take place this Wednesday at the Roseland Ballroom in New York. The show will then premiere Friday, December 4, at 10 p.m. ET on mtvU, MTV, MTV2 and Palladia.

Winners in all Woodies categories — like Woodie of the Year, the Breaking Woodie and the Left Field Woodie, to name just a few — are determined by you, the college music fan. Voting is still open through Monday over at Woodies.MTV.com.

Malice and Pusha T finally linked up with Killa Cam. The Clipse and Cam'ron are set to shoot the video for their collaboration "Back by Popular Demand (Popeye's)" on Wednesday (October 21). Pusha says the video will be real "guerilla and renegade" and not shot in New York (though we suspect otherwise).

"The whole idea for the whole record came about because at the time the Clipse were real heavy on the blogs," Push explained, sitting next to his big bro in the New York showroom of their clothing line, Play Cloths, on Tuesday. "Cam's comeback was real heavy. We were both about to drop albums. We're like, 'Yo, we need to make one of them New York records — real lyrical, like, a fan record.' We both have two really strong cult followings. From that conversation, Pharrell went into the studio and start playing with the drums and [came up with] 'Popular Demand.' Once the title came up, it was over. Pharrell got in full Cam mode."

Skateboard P does a mean Killa mimic on the hook.

"We'd been fans of Cam for a minute," Push added. "Actually, we wanted him to get on the 'Grinding' remix. And he didn't do that."

"He dissed us," Malice inserted with a laugh.

"Yeah, he dissed us on that one," Pusha went on, grinning. "He was like, 'Nah.' "

But the brothers were determined to get a Killa verse for this new record, the next single from the Clipse's December 8 release, Till the Casket Drops.

"We started reaching out to Duke [DaGod, Cam's A&R], just making sure it happened," Pusha recalled. "He came through and he did it. I think everybody is gonna take to this record. Everybody!"

"[Cam] definitely makes sure you pay him first before he makes a move," Malice said. "Straight up. Handle that business first. Straight up!"

The Clipse recently shot the video for their "I'm Good" remix in Miami with Rick Ross. After "Back by Popular Demand," their next video will be for a track called "Doorman."

Street Kings: Cam'ron and DJ Drama

Holding It Down For: NYC and ATL

Mixtape: Gangsta Grillz: Boss of All Bosses

Real Spit: We've been bringing you info on the Boss of All Bosses mixtape for the past several days and now you get the full-card monte, performances and all. Cam and Drama, after years of talking, finally made their street collaboration happen.

"I'm excited," Drama said. "For me, where I'm at with my brand and my career, I've gotten the opportunity to work with so many people, but there are people who I wanted to work with. Cam is somebody I can check off my list. Plus, to help introduce Vado — it's exciting. In some ways that's what Gangsta Grillz was built on. It wasn't built on the superstar MC — it was built on people coming up, like Jeezy. Even with Weezy, even though he was a platinum artist, he earned a lot of stripes for the Gangsta Grillz. When this Cam tape pops, people are really going to recognize how great of a street A&R [rep] he really is. He did it before and now he's introducing a new guy."

Joints to Check For

» "Hustle." " 'Hustle' is one of the original songs we had for the tape," Drama explained. "Cam sent it to me and I decided by Ross being on it, I was gonna let the 'La Bomba' out then do the 'Hustle.' "

» "Get It," (featuring Mase). "I love that song," Drama boasted. "That was exciting, man. It's always exciting to watch the game come around like that — seeing Cam and Mase coming up in Harlem together, to the fallout to making music again. It's a feel-good song to me. Not that it sounds old, but it sounds like classic New York hip-hop. I play that in the club — the beat is crazy; Mase and Cam ride the beat. Vado does his thing. People are excited about that one."

» "Drama." "The necessary record," Dram said. "I can't tell you how many times we've been there. Cam named the song after me. It's a Gangsta Grillz tape. Shout-out to Cam for the shout-out."

The Streets Is Talking: News & Notes From the Underground

Gucci Mane's new EP Wasted: The Prequel is slated for a September 8 release. As we told you before, the set contains the best songs from his last few mixtapes. Now we get word that Gucci has finally named his official album.

The LP is called The State vs. Radric Davis and is due in December, and Gucc assures us he has an all-star lineup of producers on tap.

The O.D.: A Mixtape Daily Exclusive

We came across an ill rumor yesterday. If 50 Cent were to perform at his "40 Day" neighborhood gathering in Southside Queens on August 30, he would have brought Cam'ron onstage with him. Wow. A real dope moment for the fans, but it would be very shocking — hypothetically speaking, since the two exchanged a myriad of disses years ago. But hey, if G-Unit are now doing records with D-Block, anything is possible. As luck would have it, we ran into Killa Cam recently in Harlem. We set up a joint interview with Cam, Vado and DJ Drama while they filmed a video for the mixtape track "Ric Flair," and during a break in filming, Killa addressed the rumors.

"Nah, I'm not going to no show in Queens," Cam said. "I don't know how true it is ... a few of my people — associates — said [some of 50's associates] was trying to reach out. But I ain't going to no concert in Queens. Come up to Harlem Week. We could sit down and have the roundtable meeting if you really wanna be serious. Or meet anywhere ... we can meet in Benihana's if you wanna be serious. It don't matter. I'm not squashing a problem we had in Queens at your event. That's the same way he got other artists to come to his shows, whether they was down with Dipset or D-Block or T.S., or whatever the case may be. It ain't no real beef, but we ain't gonna squash what we had at a Queens event. We'll meet halfway — Triborough Bridge or something. But I ain't going to no show in Queens. I'll be at Harlem Week."

One day the bosses may sit down, but in the meantime, Killa is focusing on his new crew, the U.N., and lead artist Vado.

"We work every day. I got the U.N., Charlie Clipse, Bird Lady, Dipset West. It's like two different record labels under one umbrella. As far as the U.N. album, how deep we are? We got like 60, 70 songs done. That's why we knock the mixtapes out because if it don't come out, the music starts getting old. I wanna put it out before I start saying, 'Dag, remember that joint we did last January?' But we're done [recording] — we could put an album out tomorrow if we needed to."

In early September, Cam is dropping the Boss of All Bosses Part 2 mixtape. That will be followed by the U.N. album, Vado's solo debut and Cam's next solo opus.

"It's flooded — the schedule's crazy."

Give us some warning after making us wait for almost 10 years!

Mase and Cam'ron dropped the collaborative effort "Get It" over the weekend and caught everyone, including New York radio personality Miss Info, off guard. Info, one of my longtime homies, had the exclusive record on her Web site late Friday. According to her, there are more songs to come between the childhood friends and former members of the underground rap group Children of the Corn, with Big L.

Info sat down with me and my partner Rahman Dukes to discuss how the record came about, the impact of the song and what this means for Mase's impending comeback.

" 'This is part of a bigger project' is what I was told," Info said of Mase.

Last we heard, Killa and Jim Jones were busting on Mase during a Hot 97 radio show Info was hosting.

"What was so shocking is that no one's really seen them together or anything like that," Info said. "Nobody knew they squashed some of their old disputes. But behind the scenes, they had resolved their issues, and they've been friends for a little while now. Last year, they got together, they played ball, in Jersey or somewhere like that, from what I understand. The friendship has already been in the works, which is what I like about how this record came outta nowhere. It's not a fabricated publicity stunt, which is what some people were thinking it was. They didn't get together only for a record. They were already friends."

And that's how I loved these guys best: together as Murda Mase and Killa Cam.

"We grew up listening to Murda Mase, Children of the Corn," I said. "That was our introduction to them."

Are you happy Cam and Mase are back together? What else are you expecting from the duo? Sound off below.

Put this in the "came out of nowhere" files. Cam'ron and Mase have not only reunited after years of bickering, but they're putting out a record together. What? Early Saturday morning Miss Info blogged that Killa Cam had sent her a new song called "Get It." The record features newcomer B. Rossi, as well as fellow Harlem knight Mase, who hasn't seen eye to eye with Cam in years.

The two were thick as thieves in the 1990s, first as neighborhood friends and later as part of the group Children of the Corn with Big L. Mase, in fact, introduced Cam to Notorious B.I.G., which led to Killa's first record deal. But the two had a falling-out more than a decade ago when Mase refused to appear in the video for Cam's "Horse and Carriage," a song the rapper-turned-pastor appeared on. They eventually squashed their differences, but when Mase appeared on Hot 97 to promote his return to rap with 2004's Welcome Back, Cam, Jim Jones and Mase had a very ugly on-air spat. That was the last we'd heard about the Up Top connection.

As of late, though, Mase had been hinting about another comeback, putting out freestyles over songs like Trey Songz's "I Need a Girl" and Drake's "Best I Ever Had." Then he called up New York radio station Power 105.1 last week and shouted out the Diplomats.

"I love both of them," Mase told DJ Self about his relationship with Cam and Jones. "I know we had a lot of bad altercations and stuff like that. I just got love for the family. At the end of the day, my kids are supposed to know their kids. Their kids are supposed to know mine."

Jim Jones called in during Mase's interview to say, "I just wanted to tell you, I tip my hat to you. I apologize for anything I did when I was younger."

A Mase/ Jim Jones record may have been expected, but the Cam'ron reunion came without warning.

"The black Lyor, chicks wanna sip from any glass I pour," Mase raps on "Get It." "Louis dress shirt, Gucci expert/ My net worth make chicks wanna network."

"Mase, you come back if you get 50 percent,'" he adds at the end of his verse. "Nah, I need Diddy's percent."

Killa comes in with swagger: "I blow weed smoke, different guns we tote/ My goddamn chain like a ski slope, please, folks/ Harlem World, you know the boy murder home/ Lennox Ave, you know we the murder zone."

Miss Info gave a little insight into the reunion, writing that the two actually mended their fence a while ago and played basketball together last summer.

Father's Day was last week, but Cam'ron is a great pops all year 'round. Killa said he makes it his business to spend time with his son on a regular basis.

"I don't care if I am doing music, my son comes with me every weekend," Cam told us. "If I'm on the West Coast, he'll come fly and be with me. If I'm on the East Coast, I get my son every weekend. It doesn't matter where I'm at — show, no show, whatever. Break or no break. I have my son every summer and every weekend while he's in school. I love having my son in my life. That's why it's more fathers in the hip-hop community, because they probably went through a fatherless childhood like I did. You always gotta take advantage when you can spend time with your kids."

Little Killa was featured on the cover of Cam's classic Come Home With Me. But the Diplomat founder said that might be the last time — at least for a good, long while — that his song will make a major public showing.

"His mom don't like that," Cam told us. "His mom don't want him on TV or the album covers. When I put him on the album cover, his teacher will change it from 'Cameron' to 'Cam'ron' on his [school] paper. He had to change schools two or three times. I had to fall back from letting him be on the camera. I feel her for that. It's his safety first before anything. I feel her for that."

The proud dad described his son as being studious and not heavy into the family business: rap music.

"He's like a nerd — [that's] a good thing — a genius at school," Cam said. "He gets in the 90s and 100s. I don't think he got a score lower than 94 ever. He's in third grade, so it's a beautiful thing. He's not really into the music. I got pulled over for a traffic ticket. I was speeding or whatever. He was in the car. He was so nervous, he was like, 'Why are the cops messing with you? They don't know you're a movie star?' I was like, 'Nah, it's just a ticket, don't worry about it.' That kinda shocked me, too, because he doesn't mention the music. He reads and watches the DVDs. Right now, I'mma keep it real. He's Scooby-Dooed out. I appreciate that. Scooby-Doo been rocking for about 40 years. He just started getting into video games. Right now, it's PlayStation, 'Guitar Hero' and his Scooby-Doo DVDs."

Cam'ron admitted that, yes, he partakes in the games and watches the adventures of the snack-greedy doggy detective with his youngster.

Cam'ron is getting to the money and apparently has no time for holding grudges. When Killa is cruising, he's not having flashbacks of old beefs. Despite past musical feuds with Nas and Jay-Z, the Harlem Diplomat says that he keeps their music in rotation. A classic is a classic.

"To be honest, I've been listening to a variety of stuff," Cam told us a few weeks ago, when asked whose music he enjoys these days. "The last album I bought was Plies' album. I like Plies a lot. Basically, being in Florida, you feel him even more when you're in that atmosphere. [Lil] Wayne is my man. I got stuff like Jay-Z's first album, Reasonable Doubt, [Nas'] infamous Illmatic, stuff that makes me think. [A lot of] new albums are like, 'Eh, whatever.' But I got a lot of '97, '98 stuff in my car, '96. Raekwon's Only Built 4 Cuban Linx. ... I always listen to DeBarge. DeBarge is always in the loop. John Legend. Beyoncé's new CD is in there. I do a lot of mixtape R&B stuff. I even got the Force M.D.s."

From the South to the North and everywhere in between, OJ Da Juiceman is getting love from his fellow hip-hop dignitaries. Jadakiss has him featured on "Who's Real," R. Kelly has him on the underground record "Superman High," and there are plenty more collaborations in the works.

"I did a song with Saigon; it's called 'What Would You Do for Pu---," he said. "I'mma have this record with Cassidy. I got in the 'Hustler's Anthem' remix with Busta Rhymes and T-Pain. I got in touch with Grafh — he said he wants to do something. [Tony] Yayo got on the remix to 'Make the Trap Say Aye'; it's a bunch of people. I'm working with everybody that extended their hand out. Me and Ron Browz about to do something. I did song with D-Block that's a real record."

And in addition to all that, Da Juice is currently working on a follow-up to the project he released earlier this year The Otha Side of the Trap.

It's a new week — let's all get new money and make this history. Mixtape Daily keeps rolling. We're rammed with that killer content this week. Jadakiss reveals that he and Killa Cam have more tracks coming, and Drake tells us what it's like to roll with Lil Wayne.

Also, we have Dead Prez and Green Lantern come talking about their new collaboration. Funny story: When the DPZ came up for their interview, Red and Meth were up here at the same time. It was a dope hip-hop moment to see both groups show love and respect to one another, with no cameras running. Real, genuine saluting.

This Week's Main Pick

Street Kings: Dead Prez

Mixmaster: DJ Green Lantern

Holding It Down For: The Revolution

Street Album: Pulse of the People: Turn Off the Radio, Vol. 3

Real Spit: Just 'cause Obama is in office now doesn't mean things are all good with the DPZ. M-1 and Stic.man still represent for the struggle. And as you can see from the daily headlines, times are hard for a lot of people. The political rap duo are readying their next proper album, Information Age, the follow-up to 2004's Revolutionary but Gangsta. But while they figure out whether to sign to a major or release the project themselves, they hooked up with Green Lantern to bring their scriptures to the streets. Pulse of the People: Turn Off the Radio, Vol. 3 is due June 23.

"We been busy. We might not have hit MTV, but we been grindin'," Stic told us recently about the guys' whereabouts. "Working with Green has been a blessing. Green is the ear to the street. He probably told us that 100 times. 'Boom, we gonna make sure we hit the streets. The streets need to feel what y'all bring.' He created the vibration with the music that made that easy to pull that out. I ain't have to produce nothing, so it was a lot quicker [to put this together], so it was good. With the mixtape, it's like we were in the trenches, and it's good. It's like, 'What you got? You got something hot or not? We don't got all day. Come with it.' So that keeps us sharp."

The Evil Genius hosts the tape and produced the majority of the project, with Bun B on "Don't Hate My Grind" and Styles P on "Gangsta, Gangster." Chuck D joins the revolution on "Refuse to Lose," which also features Avery Storm.

The Master Plan: "We inching closer and closer to independence," Stic said about Dead Prez's next album. "That's the real major, is our independence. You have to be strategic. You have to play chess. You have to pimp the system. You have to take advantage of the resources that's available. So that's our philosophy: to never compromise who we are or compromise what our agenda is musically but to be flexible enough to get it out to the most people in the right situation. But we been growing, and our independent movement, the way the music industry is looking, the independent move is looking bigger, at least check-wise, at the end of the day. But it's about pushing forward, not backwards."

Joints To Check For

» "Afrika Hot!" "I think it's gonna speak to our international audience in a very profound way," M said. "In it, the hook, it speaks in Arabic, then it speaks in Swahili, but all in all, the message is for Africa to speak for itself, throw the shackles off. Green killed the beat. It literally sounds like you're on a camel. Like, you're on a camel in the middle of Mogadishu or Darfur or the middle of the 'hood under heavy patrol. I think it's cool, and we stand up for the people."

» "Summer Time." "Just the vibe, it's a good vibe [on that song]," Stic explained. "Appreciating when the sun comes out. It don't shine forever, so when it comes, we try to soak it up. For me, doing songs like 'Happiness' on Let's Get Free, it's always a good place to go, 'cause you have to find your own happiness in the middle of the struggle. It's not after the struggle is over; you have to find that happiness while you're in it. So that song is important."

» "Warpath" "One of the engineers I work with, his name is Eric Gorman, he was playing me music one day," Green said. "He has a group called Ratfink and would make this music that sounds real analog, old-school. Like if the Dap-Kings do '60s-soul-sounding stuff, they do early '70s-funk-kinda sounds. I listened to it, like, 'Oh, I can sample this. That's crazy. I'm just gonna put drums and a bass line on it.' He was playing it for me, and the words were crazy. It's about a renegade police officer. The whole song came to my head, and Stic does an overview of the police department, and then M comes in as the renegade police officer, and we screwed his voice, where it sounds real demonic."

The Streets Is Talking: News & Notes From The Underground

Drake couldn't feel better. He has one of the biggest buzzes in the music biz and only just started working on his debut LP. Drizzy loves the accolades from fans and especially from his camp, Young Money. He says he's "blessed" to have the support of Lil Wayne.

"Wayne is another one that — rap-wise, verse-wise — was my favorite," he told us. "And to be under his wing, to be able to interact with him on a daily basis and talk to him and get information from him, I'm in a blessed position. I have the greatest mentors, the greatest teachers in the world. They all have gradually started to embrace me more and more, so it's a great feeling." ...

Jadakiss is gearing up to hit the road with Cam'ron this summer on the Big Bosses Tour and says he and Killa will have more collaborative material for the stage.

"We actually working on a few more songs right now," Jada said of his and Cam's recordings. "I'm about to throw him on the 'Who's Real' remix. Hopefully him and Kanye. We're about to just trade off two or three more songs each, and we're gonna rock. We're doing House of Blues-type joints. 'Hood venues — but not too 'hood."

Jada is excited to go out on the road with an old friend.

"Killa's my homie from back in the day in the Mase era," 'Kiss said. "Mase introduced me to him before he had the Dipset. It was just [Cam] and [Jim] Jones running with [former label exec] Un. It's love. We're from the same era, so we appreciate the same things. We know about getting to the money, grinding before the game changed."
