Full Biography

  1. When superstar producer Dallas Austin brought identical twins Brit and Alex Smith to superstar label executive Jimmy Iovine, he presented them as his "new TLC." Iovine agreed and signed Brit & Alex after hearing only two of their energetic hip-hop-meets-pop tracks. Previously, while in their teens, the twins were the face of John Frieda's Sheer Blonde ad campaign, appearing in fashion magazines, on billboards, and on television commercials, one of which featured the girls singing. Austin discovered them while they were in London, cutting demos with various songwriters and producers. Recording of their Interscope debut began in the summer of 2007. ~ David Jeffries, Rovi
