Boo Radleys Break Up, Martin Carr Goes Solo

Liverpool's Boo Radleys have called it a day.
The band, signed to Creation Records in the U.K., the label best known for housing Oasis, announced their breakup earlier this week citing a desire to pursue other projects. "They feel that they have achieved everything that they can as The Boo Radleys," reads the statement.
A spokesperson for the band's U.S. label, the Never Records Group, said he hoped to see a solo album from the band's songwriter and leader, Martin Carr, in the future through Creation. Carr is currently working in his home studio on new non-Boo material. The band also included vocalist Sice, bassist Tim Brown and drummer Rob Cieka.
The Boo Radleys fifth album "Kingsize" was released in the U.S. last week and in the U.K. last October. The U.S. spokesperson says that although the band won't be touring Stateside, they are still making themselves available to help promote the album and that the break-up won't make any difference in the company's attempts
to market the product.
