Bang Lime

With their band on hiatus and singer Emily Haines pursuing solo work, bassist Josh Winstead and drummer Joules Scott-Key of Toronto indie dance-rock act Metric became restless enough to start their own project. Coming up with a name derived from the duo's noisy jam sessions, Bang Lime represents a sound decidedly heavier than Metric and features Winstead taking on vocal and guitar duties. A debut album was due from Last Gang records in mid-2007, while Metric had plans to reassemble in Toronto to begin writing new material. ~ Kenyon Hopkin, Rovi
