Credited with revolutionizing pop music with his trademark Wall of Sound production style, Phil Spector shepherded countless acts to the top of the charts, including the Crystals and the Ronettes. He would later work with such legendary rock bands as the Beatles and the Ramones. Although primarily known as a musician, Spector appeared briefly in the classic film Easy Rider. In 2003, Spector was charged with murder for the shooting death of actress Lana Clarkson, whose body was discovered at Spector's house. A lengthy and well-publicized trial followed. ~ Matthew Tobey, Rovi
