Biography

A bald British supporting actor who played Superintendent Talbot in Alfred Hitchcock's Sabotage (1936), Matthew Boulton came to Hollywood in 1937 and almost exclusively played English or colonial authority figures, often members of Scotland Yard. Among his best-remembered roles were Inspector Cressney, who trailed jewel thief Clark Gable in They Met in Bombay (1941), and Inspector Graham in The Brighton Strangler (1945).
