Hong Kong actress Yau Chingmy is best known for her role in Jing Wong's exploitative action movie Naked Killer (1994), in which she portrayed a barely dressed vigilante battling a gang of lesbian assassins. The film was released at a time when Hong Kong cinema was first beginning to receive a great deal of attention from Western critics. As a result, it was surprisingly well received, considering the fact that the film is not too different from American films of similar content. However, Chingmy herself has turned in solid performances in a diverse array of roles, including roles in dramas, comedies, and action films. ~ Jonathan E. Laxamana, Rovi
