Hungarian director Ladislao Vajda (born Laszlo Vajda in Budapest, Hungary) directed numerous successful mainstream films. He primarily worked in Spain, but also occasionally directed German and British films. He is best known for the work he did after the early '50s. He is the son of screenwriter Laszlo Vajda and started his film career as a cutter. After working for a time as a cameraman until the mid-'30s, Vajda became a director. In 1941, he directed a pair of Italian films and then emigrated to Spain. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
