Biography

A pleasant-looking film and television actor of the early 1950s, Peter Thompson entered films on the G.I. Bill in 1947. Contracted by first Universal then MGM, Thompson lent good support to a couple of program Westerns -- Randolph Scott's Santa Fe (1951) , Fort Savage Raiders (1951) -- but was busier on such television shows as Death Valley Days and The Lone Ranger. His death was attributed to the aftereffects of a car accident. Thompson should not be confused with the British television actor (b. 1925) of the same name. ~ Hans J. Wollstein, Rovi
