Fans of the Bella Cullen Project were saddened recently to hear that the sweet-singing Texas teens — who had assembled quite a fanbase over the past few years while penning "Twilight"-themed songs like "Sexy Vampire" — had decided to break up. Sure, lead singer Chandler Nash has plans to go solo, but even she admits it won't be the same without pals Ally Kiger and Tori Randall.
To help celebrate all the fun and adventures the trio had together, MTV News is proud to premiere their swan song: a video for the appropriately titled song "Let It Go."
"You could say it's our final song," Chandler said when we caught up with her recently. "We filmed that, and we're definitely proud of what we did. We're totally proud of the song itself. Hopefully, it will get a good response. We worked hard on it."
When they shot the video, however, the Bella Cullens weren't aware that it would be their last. "We were kind of leaning towards breaking free of the 'Twilight' thing," she recalled. "Not that we didn't like it or anything, but we just wanted to focus on [singing about] other things. Like a month later, we decided maybe this was the end."
And, as Chandler admitted, the girls shed a few tears as the decision was made. "There was a little bit [of crying], yeah," she said, promising the three will remain best friends. "It's just because it's been such a huge part of our lives so far. All of our teenage years, until now, have been circled around this fandom and all the people. Of course, we're going to miss all the people we've met at conventions, and all of our fans that have been so supportive. It's hard to let go of something that has been such an important part of your life for years."
