Karlek, Solaken och Sang translates as Love, Sunshine and Song. And that's what the viewer gets in this virtually plotless Swedish musical-comedy revue. Described as a Scandinavian Hellzapoppin', the film is a nonstop barrage of comedy sketches, musical numbers, and pretty girls. The latter commodity was the film's biggest selling angle in the U.S., mainly because the ladies were garbed in the latest European swimwear -- an inch or two more revealing than anything seen on American beaches in 1948. Featured in the cast is Stig Jarrel, who apparently never turned any role down. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
