Garlic Bread Pizza Taquitos
  • INGREDIENTS
    12 slices of white bread
    4 tbsp butter, melted
    ½ tsp garlic powder
    1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
    2 cups shredded mozzarella
    1 cup mini pepperonis
    1 cup marinara sauce, plus more for dipping
    Oil, for frying
     
    INSTRUCTIONS
    1. Using a rolling pin, flatten out the slices of white bread
    2. In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley.  Brush onto the flattened bread slices.
    3. On one side of the bread slice, layer the marinara sauce, mozzarella, and pepperonis.
    4. Roll to form a taquito shape
    5. Fry seam side down in a large pan filled with about 1 inch of oil, preheated to 350 degrees
    6. Once all have been fried, serve immediately with a dish of marinara sauce for dipping
