You probably think of JC Chasez as another Mickey Mouse Club celebrity spawn or associate him with the multi-platinum-selling pop group *NSync. But it's time to purge your mind of all of that and finally see JC for who he really is: a talented singer, songwriter and producer.
JC has written and produced songs with some of the music industry's biggest names, such as Grammy-winning producer Dallas Austin, and written songs for stars like Basement Jaxx, The Cheetah Girls and Leona Lewis.
JC first took an interest in writing and producing while he was a member of *NSync. In fact, he wrote and produced the title track for the group's hit album, No Strings Attached, as well as several other tracks. JC is currently collaborating on projects with hit songwriters Richard Marx and Kara DioGuardi, and he contributed to the 2007 Backstreet Boys album, Unbreakable. Just a few years ago, no one would have ever imagined that a member of *NSync and the Backstreet Boys would be harmoniously working together!
As a part of the supergroup *NSync, JC helped sell more than 40 million albums worldwide, including No Strings Attached, which holds the record for the highest first-week album sales ever. In 2004, JC released his critically acclaimed solo debut, Schizophrenic, which produced the hit song, "Blowin' Me Up (With Her Love)." In the near future, JC plans on releasing his sophomore album, featuring collaborations with Justin Timberlake, Timbaland and Dallas Austin.
JC recently wrapped filming on the independent flick Killer Movie and has appeared on such TV shows as Las Vegas, Ghost Whisperer, Touched by an Angel and Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll. As a judge on Randy Jackson Presents: America's Best Dance Crew, JC Chasez brings years of experience and plenty of words of wisdom.
