Timbaland, JD, Neptunes, Gorillaz Help "Carmen" Get Her Groove Back

Guess who made these remixes.

Georges Bizet's "Carmen" may well be the most famous opera in the canon, but you can't exactly shake your ass to it.

As the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards prepare to descend on New York's Metropolitan Opera House on September 6, we thought that Bizet's 1874 work could use a bit of an upgrade. Some of today's hottest producers have laid their hands on the opera's "L'Amour Est un Oiseau Rebelle," poked it, pulled it, pumped it, and tweaked it and come up with the following five remixes.
