Sonny and Cher. Kurt and Courtney. The Captain and Tennille. Donny and Marie. Justin and Britney? Don't laugh the first lady of pop and her crown prince just might be the musical match of a new millennium.
The dynamic duo hook up on record for the first time on the song "What It's Like to Be Me" from Britney Spears' third album, due November 6. 'NSYNC heartthrob Justin Timberlake co-wrote, co-produced and sang backing vocals on the song. Meanwhile, Britney continues to experiment with her sound. In addition to the love connection, the still-untitled disc features the Neptunes-produced first single, "I'm a Slave 4 U" and a cover of the classic rock tune "I Love Rock 'n' Roll." Britney also worked with old friend and pop maestro Max Martin and red-hot electronic producer BT, and she even roped in songwriting help from Dido. Ms. Spears is also slated to make her big-screen debut early next year in a still-untitled road flick.
MTV Latin America's Ruth Infarinato discovered that Britney is ready for her close-up, has found true love and won't check Caller ID when someone rings claiming to be Michael Jackson.

MTV: You just finished your first movie. Were people looking for you to act, or was it something you wanted to do?
Britney Spears: It was something I was looking to do. I was looking at a bunch of different scripts, but this was the one that really caught my eye. It's just really heartfelt. I saw it for the first time [the other day and] I was really, really excited. It was bizarre seeing yourself on the big screen! I was watching it like, "Ah, my gosh!" I cried in it. It was so weird when I was watching it ... I'm not me. I'm not Britney Spears. I'm this dorky girl named Lucy. I don't have much makeup on, and I'm not really glamorous. It was just bizarre [to see] me playing someone else. I got so lost in the character.
