We know you love Red Bull and Starbucks, Britney, but you may not love the effect it could have on your baby. Yeah, there's been a ton of controversy over caffeine, and although it's been determined that it does cross the placenta, moderate amounts won't hurt your little Federline. But that's moderate amounts, Brit — like less than 300 mg a day. That's two or three cups of coffee, or six cans of soda, depending on how strong your java is and how big your mug is. Otherwise, you're looking at a risk of miscarriage, preterm labor or low birth weight, according to the March of Dimes. So you might want to consider switching to herbal tea — but not all herbals are safe for pregnancy. Those that are include strawberry leaf, lemon grass leaf, nettle leaf, fennel seed, rosehips, lemon verbena and especially raspberry leaf, which helps prevent miscarriage and eases labor, according to a 1999 study in Sydney, Australia. However, that one you just might want to save till you're at end stage, just to be careful, because some think it might also trigger labor, too.

Be sure to check back next week and every week as we add to our list of baby tips for Britney and expectant mothers everywhere. But remember, the best advice for you is the advice you get from your doctor.
