One of them taught us how to celebrate the Black Sabbath, the other one is the earthly incarnation of the White Zombie. Together, they've scared up a tour they're calling A Night of Merry Mayhem.

Whether you consider Ozzy Osbourne and Rob Zombie to be hard rock's aged king and grimy prince or just think of them as a couple of scary-looking dudes, the metal mischief-makers are about to launch one of this winter's biggest tours.

The 33-city outing featuring Mudvayne and Soil was formerly known as the Black Christmas tour, then renamed in light of the events of September 11. Expect Ozzy to play new tunes from his latest solo album, Down to Earth, and Zombie to serve songs from his second solo album, The Sinister Urge (November 13).

Ozzy and Zombie cast a spell on MTV News' Iann Robinson and told him why it took so long for them to hook up and why there will be audience warnings posted at every venue.

Iann Robinson: You've both got new records coming out. Was that the only reason for you to finally hook up for a tour?

Ozzy Osbourne: Our respective managers were talking about playing the Ozzfest, and the timing was just coincidental. I didn't go, "Rob, I'm starting my album now, we'll go [on tour] next year."

Rob Zombie: It was one of those things that would be a good idea, but your schedules never match. Ever. This time they matched perfectly. And the fact that my manager's having an affair with Ozzy's wife ...

Osbourne: Yeah, I'm getting pissed off about that.

Robinson: What can people expect from the new tour as far as sets, costumes ...

Osbourne: Sex, drugs and rock and roll.

Zombie: Midgets. A lot of midgets.

Osbourne: A few midgets.

Robinson: Actual midgets?

Zombie: Masquerading as elves.

Robinson: As far as your set ...

Osbourne: It's got a Christmas theme, but it's dark. It's gonna be wild. We were going to call it the Black Christmas tour, but then we decided to change it because of this dreadful terrorist thing that just happened. [RealVideo]
