Top Atlanta Hot Spots
The 15 places in Atlanta you have to go or you're playing yourself ...
1. The strip club (any strip club)
Come with some dollars and respect the rules of the game.
2. The King Center
A beautiful piece of American history. MLK's dream still lives.
3. Club Vision
The most happening club in the city.
4. Gladys Knight & Ron Winan's Chicken & Waffles
Yes, Gladys "Midnight Train to Georgia" Knight. Make sure you try the "uptown" drink (lemonade and ice tea mixed together) and the sweet-potato cheesecake.
5. Walters
Stay flyyy-yyy-yyy! These dudes have more flavors of A-Town hats than there are athletes on the Braves, Hawks and Falcons combined. And their kick game is impeccable. Just ask Ludacris and the DTP, who cop there on the regular.
6. Atlanta University Center (Spelman, Morehouse, Clark Atlanta University and Morris Brown College)
A great place to meet some beautiful members of the opposite sex.
7. Lenox Square Mall
It's like the Beverly Center of the South.
8. Greenbriar Mall
They have high-end items here, but it's a mecca for urban clothing. Ludacris once rapped about buying the mall.
9. Big Oomp's Record Store
You can get all your mixtape needs fulfilled here. You can even catch the legendary Big Oomp squad members, like DJ Jelly, selling the specialized mixtapes and beats.
10. The Poole Palace
When music is not being broken in the strip clubs, it's being broken here. The Poole Palace is actually the place where the song "Laffy Taffy" was first heard on wax and performed live. It's also one of the places where the dance that the guys of D4L are doing in the video started becoming popular.
11. Waffle house (any waffle house)
You can't beat the cheese grits or the low prices; a whole meal for less than eight bucks.
12. Spondivitis Seafood and Steaks
The food is so good, the Snowman had to give it a shout-out in "Trap Star": "Eat at Spondivitis four times a week/ Bucket of crab legs, Slick had the lobster."
13. Ear Wax Records
You can't ride to the club without some tunes, can you? Ear Wax serves 'em up.
14. Gutbusters
The chicken and Philly cheese steaks will even make people from the City of Brotherly Love throw up their A's.
15. Cafe Intermezzo
A swank little eatery to take your shorties, shawty! The pastries are a must.
