Atlanta has always been that spot for out-of-towners. The people are friendlier, the pace is less hectic than in, say, Philadelphia or Oakland, California, and the price of living is lower than in such cities as New York. It's that spot where you go for the weekend with your boys to try and find a beautiful Georgia peach. It's that spot to go party with your girls after hitting the waffle house for cheese grits. It's that spot where your family gathers for reunions or to visit the King Center together.

Over the years, ATL has also been the site of major events like How Can I Be Down (Mase was discovered there in the mid-'90s by Puff Daddy) and the infamous skinfest known as the Freaknik. It's also the place where, if you spend just enough time there on vacation, you might actually move for good — just ask the boatload of celebs, like Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, Nas and Kelis, Bow Wow, Da Brat and Mase, who have homes there. It's beautiful and rich with history and when it comes to music, the city can't be beat.

ATL shines in almost any area of music you can think of. Legends? It's the city where TLC are from, L.A. Reid and Babyface formed their LaFace label, Outkast and the rest of the Dungeon Family forged one of hip-hop's most talented cliques and Jermaine Dupri first told Kris Kross to "Jump." Today's major pop icons? Look no further than the stars of "Yeah!": Usher, Lil Jon and Ludacris all call Atlanta home. And as for what's next? Houston may be the next Atlanta, but Atlanta isn't going anywhere. T.I. is on his way to ruling a kingdom beyond the South, Young Jeezy is poised to keep making classic music for years to come and Lil Scrappy has so much potential star power that 50 Cent is making sure they work together.

Welcome to Atlanta. We're about to take you all over the city, from the trap to the studio to the strip clubs to the boardroom. Peace up, A-Town down!
