Ice Cube -
Death Certificate

The opus that made Ice Cube public enemy number one in the eyes of the mainstream. Cube brought back all his gangsta sensibilities and posturing from the N.W.A and AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted days and mixed it with his newfound social-activist stances.

The Argument

Death Certificate or AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted? ...

Shaheem Reid: I have the same argument with Death Certificate as I did with the whole Biggie Ready to Die/Life After Death thing. AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted was brilliant, rawer, but on the second album, Cube just made better records. I felt he grew so much. And he cut off his Jheri curl.

Rahman Dukes: Death Certificate was better. The drama with N.W.A was really building. He dropped it right in the middle of that. His fire kinda woke Eazy up a little bit.
