You might not know his name, but you know his work.
He stripped Blink-182 naked and sent them sprinting through the streets for "What's My Age Again?" He brought Papa Roach together with its fans for "Last Resort." He even rounded up P.O.D. and piled them into the party bus for "Rock The Party."
He is director Marcos Siega, and he's had one hell of a year.
A musician himself, Siega helmed clips for bands like C.I.V., Quicksand, Anthrax, and Corrosion Of Conformity early in his career and has found himself on a roll of late with the aforementioned buzzworthy videos. For his efforts, Siega goes into the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards with four nominations, including three for the teen-pop parody he put together for Blink-182's "All The Small Things."
While his nomination for Video Of The Year makes him the man of the moment, Siega is still plowing ahead with new videos for Papa Roach and Eve 6 as well as plans for a Blink-182 feature film (see "Papa Roach, Blink-182 Return To Siega For New Videos"). However, when he spoke with MTV News' Robert Mancini, Siega talked about his beginnings and how his admiration for the bands that he works with has made his career smoother (and sweeter).
