 | | The three years since the release of Rage Against The Machine's multi-platinum "Evil Empire" have only burnished the band's reputation. "The Battle Of Los Angeles" bristles with the the sort of bleeding edge guitar work, thunderous rhythms, and aggro agit-prop that have always made Rage roar. For the album, Rage reconnected with producer Brendan O'Brien, and with his sonic assistance, "The Battle Of Los Angeles" chronicles the class conflicts that lie like fault lines beneath L.A.'s surface. The new video for "Guerrilla Radio" gives the group the full rock-star treatment, alongside some all-too familiar visuals. As guitarist Tom Morello explained, "It's a takeoff on the consumerism which we've seen on some of the advertisements for certain clothing lines which have been glutting the airwaves lately."MTV News' Heather Parry caught up with Morello, bassist Y Tim K, and drummer Brad Wilk to talk about the new album. Here's what they had to say. |
