MTV: What else do you enjoy doing besides music? Romeo: I play sports, I like basketball. And I play video games, sleep, eat, go to school and just have fun regular kid things.
MTV: Do you still do those things as much since your career has taken off?
Romeo: I try to do as much as I can, but I'm really focused on the music right now and wanna get this thing right. In the meantime, I focus on being an NBA player when I'm older.
MTV: Is that your dream, to become an NBA player one day?
Romeo: Yeah, that's my dream always, to be an NBA player.
MTV: Is any of this inspired at all by your father, having a career and also almost being in the NBA?
Romeo: My dad really inspired me and he guides me a lot. He really made me wanna do this. I seen him in the NBA and it was fun watching him. I want people to watch me and have a good game.
MTV: Did you go to the Michael Jordan [basketball] Camp?
Romeo: Oh yeah, I went to a whole bunch of camps last year. Michael Jordan, Kenny Smith, Steve Francis, Sam Cassell, UCLA and a lot more. It was fun and I got MVP at Michael Jordan Camp and at Steve Francis and Sam Cassell also all the camps I went to, I got MVP.
MTV: Who's your favorite NBA team?
Romeo: I got favorite players right now. Allen Iverson, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal, Vince Carter and lots more. And Michael Jordan.
MTV: When you get onstage, do you get nervous knowing there are so many people out in the crowd?
Romeo: It makes me feel good to see the fans out there supporting me and to know they came out to see me. I might feel nervous sometimes, but I'm not nervous when I get on the stage.
MTV: What kind of music do you like to listen to?
Romeo: I listen to everything pop, R&B, rock I listen to any good music.
MTV: Who are some of your favorite artists?
Romeo: Probably Bow Wow, Nelly and my dad and uncles. And I like Britney Spears and 'NSYNC a lot.
MTV: Do you have any plans to do TV or movies?
Romeo: Yeah, I have my own TV [concert special] on Nickelodeon, so you should be seeing that [July 1]. I'm doing a movie that my dad got a script written for. I think it's called "Best Friends." It's about me and another kid.
