Not too long ago, on a planet far, far away, three monsters hooked on surf guitar and Cheap Trick plotted a course for a distant blue orb, and in the process threatened to decimate all of humanity.

Not quite, but three women clad in sparkling monster garb raining surf guitar rock down on puny earthlings seems like a Halloween party to us.

Claiming to hail from Monster Island Planet by way of New Orleans, the women of Famous Monsters have their story, and they're sticking to it. Guitarist Devil Doll (better known as former White Zombie bassist Sean Yseult), guitarist Vampire Girl (Katie Campbell), and drummer She-Zilla (Carol Cutshall) claim to be on an intergalactic quest for martinis, big rock, and general kicks. The Monsters are also hoping to mow down any puny earthlings they encounter on the way to last call.

The Monsters talked about that mission as well as their Halloween videos picks, the drawbacks of travelling with a vampire, and their love of Conan O'Brien during a recent interview with MTV News' Robert Mancini.
