MTV Radio Network: Tell me about the title of your album, "Opposite Of H20." What's the concept behind that?
Drag-On: It means the opposite of [water] is fire. It's fire, it's flame. So that's why I named the album "Opposite Of H20."
MTV: What kind of sound were you looking for on the album?
D: On this joint, I'm just coming on, you know, different flow, different types. It's just crazy, man. I'm kinda, like, hitting them from all angles. I got different moves on it; not like versatility, but moods.
MTV: I know you got some early exposure with the songs "Spit These Bars" and "Down Bottom." How does it feel to finally have your own album out?
D: It feels like it's a blessing, straight up. It's a blessing just to be doing this -- just to be living, period. And doing this at the same time, it's almost like having your cake and eating it too.
MTV: The first single from your album is "N***as Die For Me" [RealVideo] with DMX. Tell me about how that song came about.
D: Me and X, we was in the studio, we was vibing. I was working on my joint, writing. He came through [and] just said, "Yo, I got a hook for that." It just went perfect, word up. That's almost like, it's hard, but it's just one of them joints where you just in a good mood, bugging out.
MTV: How is it working with DMX? He seems to be a very mysterious person, and his music is so intense. Where do you think he gets that?
D: It's a deeper background than that. He's just really in tune with the Lord a lot. A lot of people don't really know him too much, because he always be by himself. And a lot of the time, it just be him and the Lord. He's deep. It's more than just writing rhymes. [RealAudio]
MTV: So does the whole Ruff Ryders family come out to help when one of your artists is doing an album?
D: Everybody's got the input. I might help The LOX, or The LOX might help me, or I might help Eve, or Eve might help X on something, or X might throw a hook on my joint. I might throw a verse on [DMX's] joint. We all just work together. That's how we stay hitting them.
MTV: How was the experience doing the Ruff Ryders/Cash Money Tour?
D: It's crazy. I love it. I loved every minute of it. I love performing [in] every state. I do, I tear it down, every state. You could look back at reports and all that. I'm just somewhere else right now. I'm trying to take it there, word up.
MTV: How was it being on tour with Cash Money?
D: Yo, word up, those n***as is dumb cool, man. Straight up, they just like us, except on the South level. Those n***as is mad cool, you know what I'm saying. BG, word up, that's my n***a. It's like, it's all love with them n***as.
