Five years ago, MTV News had a feeling that looks weren't the only thing hot about the Donnas. In 1998 we sat down with the barely legal ladies, who were still honing their musical skills, and discussed how the band had evolved into more than an after-school project. At the time, the girls professed their love for guys with long hair and makeup and insisted they were OK with continuing to lose money so long as they could keep playing rock and roll. Now, five years later, the band is on a major label, sells out large venues and appears on "TRL." Take a look back at where it all started ...
