Do not be fooled... Glenn Danzig has been very, very busy lately.

True, he hasn't released an album since 1996's "Danzig 5: Blackacidevil," but that recording lull has been accompanied (and actually necessitated) by a lengthy battle with his former record label, Hollywood Records. After Hollywood pulled the plug on the album shortly after its release (the title remains out of print to this day), Danzig fought to reclaim the record as well as his videos, live footage, and other unreleased material from the label.

Danzig also recently found himself fighting a similar battle with one of his old labels, American Recordings, a development that (not too surprisingly) soured him on major record labels. Like many artists seeking emancipation, he sought refuge online, hooking up with the folks at E-Magine Entertainment. As a result, E-Magine will make "Danzig 6:66 Satan's Child" available online and in stores on November 2, and the company plans to re-release a number of rare Danzig titles, including a long-awaited box set from his old outfit Samhain, next year. In hammering out the deal, Danzig has also managed to turn evil into a cottage industry that has grown to include a record label (Evilive) and a publishing company (Verotik).

Here, Danzig talks with MTV News' Robert Mancini about his new deal as well as reuniting with Samhain, working with Orgy's Jay Gordon and Amir Derakh on his new album, and his flirtation with the role of Wolverine in the upcoming "X-Men" movie.
