MTV: As a rap artist, what do you think of Eminem and the controversy generated by his lyrics?
Lil' Bow Wow: What he rhymes about, people get on that situation. I look at people in the rap business what they talk about during their rhymes is what they [want to] express, so Eminem is expressing what he wants to express. When I rhyme, I just write what I want to express. I think there is nothing wrong with that, but other people do. But it's cool with me.
Whatever you want to rhyme about, feel free to rhyme about it. I know that some people can be offended by [Eminem], but [he's expressing] what he wants to express. I express "Bounce with me, bounce with me." Eminem, he has a right to express what he wants, when he feels.
MTV: What do you think about all of Dr. Dre's Grammy nominations this year?
Lil' Bow Wow: He really deserves [them]. Dre is a good friend of mine ... he really deserved it. I mean, [look at] all his hard work and all his accomplishments.
MTV: How about Destiny's Child? What do you think of their success?
Lil' Bow Wow: Excellent. They worked hard, and those are my labelmates they're on Columbia, and I am on Columbia so they are great too. They've been all around the country, all around the world. They worked hard too, so they deserve it too.
MTV: Janet Jackson has a new album coming out really soon. Do you remember the first time you saw or heard Janet Jackson?
Lil' Bow Wow: I don't remember. I was young, so...
MTV: Do you have a favorite Janet Jackson album or song?
Lil' Bow Wow: When I was little, I never really got the chance to listen to Janet. If I had to listen to any Jackson, it had to be Michael Jackson. I like a lot of rap, so I really haven't gotten the chance to enjoy Janet. When I started feeling Janet is when she did that song with Busta Rhymes ["What's It Gonna Be?!"]. [RealVideo]
MTV: Anything special you want to tell your fans about? Other than your tour, is there anything else you've got going on right now?
Lil' Bow Wow: You've just got to pay attention. I am all over the place.
