About Zo Tobi
With the epic soundscapes of the Dave Matthews Band, positive message of Michael Franti, and soulful intensity of Ben Harper, Zo’s music is a transformative journey into the heart of social change and spiritual revival.
“If you’re just starting to ‘wake up’ to the social and environmental crises in the world,” says Zo, “I want to give you inspiration to turn your passion into action… And if you’re already out there working to make a difference, I want this music to keep reminding you who you really are, and why you’re doing what you’re doing.”
Zo’s debut EP, Blessed Unrest, was funded entirely through a groundswell of fan support, and is his first contribution of many to a greater soundtrack for social change. ”We actually have the chance,” Zo shares, “to be the generation that starts rebuilding our society around a reverence for one another and the whole web of life. That’s an unbelievable privilege, and my hope is that this music celebrates and reminds us all of that.
“As a grassroots organizer,” Zo tells, “I’ve gotten to work with some incredible youth leaders, on campuses and in communities all over the US and beyond… Working for change is an honor, and at the same time I know how challenging it can be. That’s why, as a Life & Leadership Coach, I help these same leaders to thrive, while making the difference they’re here to make.
“I saw that as a coach, ‘walking my talk’ meant sharing my music as widely as I could… and Blessed Unrest is a part of doing that.”
Zo continues to write and perform, both full-band and solo acoustic, while giving coaching and coaching skills trainings to social change leaders around the world.
