Zenîma (real name Marisa Zenîma Granieri) is an alternative singer, songwriter and musician born on 1969 in Viersen, Germany.
Her symphonic debut was with "Butterfly-Mad Kate" (1995), inspired by the illustration for William Cowper's "The Task" (1785) by Johann Heinrich Füssli. Zenîma's voice led to comparisons with artists such as Rickie Lee Jones and Kría Brekkan. Throughout her career, she collaborated with several artists, including Andrea Bocelli, Samuele Bersani, Club Dogo, Kate Bush, Metric, Christopher Cross, Mango and others.
