BIOGRAPHY Young D.A., also known as Derrick Deshawn Holland, born on April 12, 1987. From Detroit, Michigan, and has had music apart of his life since he was 5 years old. Writing raps was a pass time after school, which later he converted into real songs. Entering high school at the Academy of Michigan was when music began to become more of a lifestyle. Incorporating metaphors, experiences, and real life into his raps made his ability to rap sky-rocket. He quickly grasped the understanding of music and rapping as an art and took advantage of his paintbrush. After graduating high school his first recording experience took place, and he knew he wanted to be in front of the microphone. Doing local shows through out Detroit, Young D.A. has grown a mixed fan-base across Michigan and is ready to try new things. ACCOMPLISHMENTS -Young D.A. has opened for a few mainstream artists such as Young Buck, Bone Thugs & Harmony, and DMX -Gained attention of Hellmut Wolf, director of Wolf Entertainment, and Mr. Wolf immediately liked his style. Wolf says “The moment I heard Derrick I felt he has something very special”. Wolf is currently helping him to shoot a video and get a single out as well to get him heard around the world. -On the line-up for the Underground Summer Jam, taking place July 29th 2012 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Its hosted by DJ Prince. -Reached the German singles chart this past March, took the number one spot with his song “Main Girl”. Beating out artists such as Flo Rida, David Guetta, and Avicii -Created his own music label called Music of Business. He has many rappers following him on the label, in which he has helped out with their rapping abilities to create an outstanding label as one. -Songs featured on iTunes and amazon GOALS Music is a lifestyle Derrick eats, sleeps, and breathes. He is creating an image for himself to set apart from other music artists, really finding himself and making himself “him”. Making music that people inspire people, or can simply enjoy is a wonderful feeling and always a motive into making more music.
