Sergio García Giner (better known as YeYo) was born the 26th of December 1990. Despite his nordic image and the variety of languages he speaks, this blond blue-eyed songwriter comes from Spain. Since his childhood, art has knocked at his door begging for attention. Recognising himself as a “Daydreamer”, he wanted to become a great Hollywood actor, showing his skills in every school play, always having the lead role. But, due to his father, a multifaceted musician who shares his passion for Jazz and Blues with him, who encouraged him to learn to play a classic instrument following his leads, at the age of twelve, he began with saxophone lessons. Sergio spent three years playing with the school orchestra and showing off his harmonies in a church for Christmas. As a kid, he always felt there was kind of a brain-stuck radio in his head, and he hated the fact of not being able to transform those ideas into real music. When he became a teenager, after watching his elder brother form a punk-rock band and doing gigs at school, he decided that becoming a rocker was quite cooler than playing saxophone. That is why, at the age of sixteen, he took his 20-year-old father’s guitar and taught himself, little by little, every single chord. He began singing his own poems and even recorded beatbox to fill the lack of drums in his creations. Regarding the enormous interest that his sons had for music, his father decided to build a home studio and complete it with some electronic drums, a flamenco cajón, a bass and an electric guitar. Step by step, Sergio was achieving his goal of composing, writing, producing and mixing his own music, but he wanted it to be more than a simple hobby, to make of it his way of life, his job. At the age of nineteen, after finishing high school, he decided to move to Berlin, one of the most cultural, young and artistic cities in the world. He spent there 2 years harmonizing the streets and U-Bahns of the magical capital of Germany, but wanted to know more about the music business. Luckily, after some time looking for the right career to study, he received a scholarship to become a pupil of SAE Institute Madrid. Now it is time for him to finish his Music Business Full Diploma and keep on fighting to reach his dreams. His first EP “Daydreaming” is about to be released, with the recommendation of all the experts working in SAE Institute. It’s a fusion of genuine slow rock and acoustic pop adorned with a unique soulful voice. The world better prepare for the takeoff of a rising star.
