About X-Impossibles

Sharing a love for punk godfathers like MC5, the Stooges, and the New York Dolls, as well as trashy nasty acts like the Dead Boys, the X-Impossibles came together in 1996. Singer Tim Lumley and guitarist Heidi Bartel met lead guitarist Shawn Christian, bassist Gary Yoxen, and drummer Morgan Engle and started cranking out 7"s. The brazen, straightforward, loud, and fun sound was fleshed out on a self-titled, self-released EP. Reputedly, New York Doll alum Sylvain Sylvain is such a fan he's been known to share the same stage. The band went to Sugar bassist Dave Barbe's studio to record their full-length debut, White Knuckle Ride, which appeared in 2001. ~ Ron DePasquale, Rovi
