About Wyann Vaughn
Love Everyone; Judge No One
Wyann Vaughn is an American singer-songwriter who brings soulful integrity back to R&B with a tasteful Hip Hop flavor. She is the daughter of Wanda and Wayne Vaughn, lead singer of the Grammy Award winning trio The Emotions and writer/composer of EWF’s “Let’s Groove Tonight”. She uses music to sing the stories of people from all walks of life, making her style widely accepted by her followers.
The stage and studio are home for Vaughn. As a natural performer, her skill has led her to share stages with industry greats such as Earth, Wind & Fire; Nancy Wilson; Stevie Wonder; Eric Benet; Malcolm-Jamal Warner; MC Lyte; Robert Glasper and more. On recordings, Wyann appears on work with such artists as Dr. Dre, 9th Wonder, Kendrick Lamar, The Emotions, Snoop Dogg, Lalah Hathaway and Terrace Martin.
Vaughn also authored 13, a book of poetry that evolved into its own culture. "Love everyone; judge no one" is 13’s mantra. Catapulting from the historic fear of the number 13 being “unlucky,” Vaughn challenges readers to reconsider what exactly constitutes wrong and right, normal and strange. With her book, Vaughn has entered into many fields mentoring teenagers and young adults throughout Los Angeles County. She often times brings in her siblings and group mates of Tha Fam to properly “edutain” audiences and instill cherished life lessons.
