Watering Color began composing and recording music in September 2009, seeking to explore the experimental, progressive, psychedelic, and philosophical realms of the instrumental rock fusion genre; blending tones of synthesizers, electric guitars, and real world sounds to create spacey, melodic, and often dissonant storylines.
The band is comprised of two members, brothers Jason and Ted Gilman. The Hum, their debut album, is expected to have 30-40 pieces, broken up into six chapters. Watering Color takes a unique approach to instrumental rock storytelling, carefully crafting each moment to best complement the overall story's compositions. The Hum is currently set to release sometime in 2014.
