Conceived in the spring of 2008, Vulture Kult is a child of the cold Canadian prairie wind and snow from where they hail from.
Born from the discontent of pointless cliques so prevalent in the current music scene, VK forced them selves to take a different road and see where they would end up.
The VK have managed to find a sound that is all their own and the result is sweaty, head splitting Rock N’ Roll in it’s most honest form. “The Wall Of Sound” is a rare mix between vintage and modern with a raw organic production. VK sets an edge between psychedelic hard rock and older 70’s metal with a punk feel. The duo stands out as they really do sound like a full band.
The Band’s trademark sound has led to comparisons with the likes of Blue Cheer, Ozzy, The Stooges, Black Halos, Fugazi, Black Sabbath, Queens of the Stone Age, Electric Frankenstein, Priestess and The Rolling Stones.
“The Rock N’ Roll for the Modern Age Sound” is pounding drums, guitar riffs that light up the dark night sky with vocals that will rip a hole through your chest. Sometimes sleazy but always raging, Vulture Kult will tell a story that you will understand and enjoy to the fullest.
In 2011, the release of their debut self titled album marked a kick off point
for Vulture Kult. Many national shows followed with increased media exposure, Canadian college radio charting, and critical acclaim. This 1st album set the stage for their 2nd full –length 2012 album “Don’t Let Rock N’ Roll Ruin Your Life”. Since this time VK has cemented a larger fan base and received even more positive press, band interviews, album reviews, Canadian college radio charting, and international radio and pod cast play.
With the help of consistent touring, press, radio and podcast play Vulture Kult is expanding its fan base internationally and making itself known as a force to be reckoned with. Vulture Kult delivers what it promises.
