The credo 'hard work pays off' holds more truth than ever with Belgian youngsters Vienna. The momentum started to build over the spring/summer of 2010 after releasing their debut-EP "Arrows". The band played tons of shows all over Belgium and shared stages with many international acts. They got nationwide attention and got loads of number 1 spots in the charts on Belgian National television (TMF, JIMtv). Due to this success Vienna got noticed by SonicAngel, a record label that was built around the crowdfunding principle. The band collected all the necessary funds within weeks and started to work on their debut album. In the meanwhile, the band kept on playing every possible show. They won a "Best Song" award at the Exposure Music Awards, which allowed them to play a few shows in London. Vienna recorded their first full length 'One Heart At A Time' in Outhouse Studios in Reading (UK) with John Mitchell and Ben Humphreys. Both seasoned vets in the trade having worked with You Me At Six, Bullet For My Valentine, Architects and Enter Shikari, the band knew this was a good choice. The band released their first single of the album called "Lonely Shore" in september 2011, leading to more highlights: supporting Avril Lavigne in a sold out Vorst-Nationaal and airplay on national radio and television to name a few. After the release 'One Heart At A Time' Vienna toured Belgium and the Netherlands to promote their album, together with bands such as Mallory Knox (UK), Set You goals (US), Room 94 (UK), Alesana (US), Only Seven Left (NL), Destine (NL), and tons of more bands. They played Groezrock in April and toured the Netherlands for a second time in the fall of 2012 to support Only Seven Left & Valerius. With their second single 'One Heart At A Time' they didn't only reach the Belgian radio and television, but the single was also released in Italy "Virgin Rock Radio" gaining airplay on national radio and television and some radio stations in Canada. In the meanwhile the band continued writing new stuff. This resulted in a 6-track Self-Titled EP, which has been released on March 22nd 2013. The sound was described by a more dark post-grungy approach. Reviews said it was a perfect blend of new inspiration and the powerfull rock Vienna has been delivering the past few years. It's available worldwide online and in stores in Belgium, Holland and France! The machine keeps on going strong, the band is more driven than ever to reach more people across the globe! For the moment Vienna is working on their next full album which will be released at the end of 2015. There will be 2 EP's released in the spring of 2015, divided in two chapters, which will result in their full length. Vienna is also proud to announce their two newest members, Jelle Reynaert and Korneel Lauwereins. Jelle will be playing lead guitarsand Korneel is Vienna's newest bass player.
