Vida was a short-lived, late '90s punk "supergroup" -- consisting of such SST Records alumni as guitarist/vocalist Dez Cadena (ex-Black Flag), drummer George Hurley (ex-Minutemen and fIREHOSE), guitarist Tom Troccoli (ex-Tom Troccoli's Dog), and bassist Bill Bowman (the latter Vida's only member not having done time previously in a SST-related outfit). The quartet -- whose name came from a 1989 live release from Cadena's former band, DC3 -- issued a lone self-titled recording in 1996 (with album cover art supplied by Meat Puppets' leader Curt Kirkwood).
