About Victoria Duffield

Victoria Duffield (born January 3, 1995) is a Canadian singer, actress and dancer. She was a contestant of YTV's The Next Star season 3 and made it to the Top 6. Duffield is currently signed to Warner Music Canada. She released her debut single on the label, "Shut Up and Dance" in September 2011, and the follow-up "Feel" in February 2012. She has also appeared on a number of Canadian television series, including popular tween sitcom series Mr. Young. Early life edit: Victoria Duffield was born in Abbotsford, British Columbia. She has two brothers, the oldest being Burkely Duffield from the television series House of Anubis and the other being Mitchell Duffield. She currently attends Yale Secondary School in Abbotsford. The Next Star edit: Duffield auditioned for season 3 of The Next Star, a Canadian reality television show in May 2010. After being one of 16 Canadian teens selected from over 4000, she flew to Toronto to get the chance to sing for three judges and was selected to be in the Top 6, along with Isabelle Stern, Mimoza Duot, Madi Amyotte, Brandon Bizior and Diego Gomes. Victoria sang and performed multiple tasks during the show, such as co-writing a single, singing solo, duets, and group song selections, receiving a make-over, and filming a music video. Duffield worked with producer Josh Ramsay, lead vocalist of the Canadian pop rock band Marianas Trench. Their collaboration resulted in the song "Fever". On September 26, 2010, Duffield lost to 14 year old, Diego Gomes. Charity edit: Victoria Duffield is a proud supporter of Count Me In, founded by Canadian actor Shane Feldman. On May 1, 2012, she performed at Canada's inaugural Count Me In Conference in Toronto, Ontario. Victoria has also performed at charity events including Free The Children's We Day Manitoba. Music edit: Victoria Duffield released her single "Fever" on iTunes and CD on September 21, 2010. Her music video is also available on iTunes. On her debut EP, Secrets, she released two singles "Bam Bam" and "Hey!!!" on iTunes. Duffield is currently signed to Warner Music Canada. Her debut single "Shut Up and Dance" was available on iTunes on September 19, 2011. She also released a bilingual English/French version for the francophone market featuring singer Lukay. She also released a cover of "Last Christmas". In 2012, Duffield released a second single from the album "Shut Up And Dance" titled "Feel". The music video was released on February, 13th, 2012. Another single, called "Break My Heart" was released on June 26. Victoria's latest single and video, a duet with Cody Simpson titled "They Don't Know About Us", has been released in Canada as of November 2012. Duffield has been touring to support "Shut Up & Dance" along with Faber Drive for the "Lost In Paradise Tour". The tour finishes on December 22, 2012 in Trenton, Nova Scotia. Duffield currently is working on her sophomore album with plans on releasing it Internationally.
