Veell is Artyom R. (born 1986), who uses breakbeat and simple melodies to create his at times not very simple music. He is well known for his complex sound-textures combined with synthetic drums, trip-hop themes and glitched instruments. He started his career as Breakbeat-DJ in 2003. Now his music sounds similar to Plaid, Apparat, Telefon Tel Aviv, Kettel and other IDM-musicians.
His first album was released in 2005 at the biggest Russian underground label SHUM, which started in 2003 to release quality electronic music in Russia and Europe. Later Veell's tracks were used in many compilations of this label.
In 2006 he moved from Tver to Saint-Petersburg. Here he was involved in 13breakz team's work. But in the end of 2007 he left them and have started his work with vocal project called Iky Que.
From 2007 he trying to distribute his music by himself over the Internet.
