Tiësto has transcended musical genres to create a global “Tiësto” brand. His achievements include: a Grammy nomination, numerous MTV awards, performing at the opening ceremony of the 2004 Athens Olympic Games to an audience of billions, and even a wax statue at Madame Tussaud's. With over 12 million friends on Facebook, 1+ million followers on Twitter, more than 300 million hits on YouTube, his globally syndicated Club Life Radio Show and his Club Life Podcast (#1 music podcast on iTunes globally), not to mention having played to millions live around the world, Tiësto has truly become a universal phenomenon. Tiësto has worked with superstars such as Kanye West, Coldplay, Gotye, Katy Perry, Nelly Furtado, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Goldfrapp and many more.
Having been voted ‘The Greatest DJ Of All Time’ (Mixmag), 2011 saw many firsts for both dance music and Tiësto, playing close to 200 dates to millions of people around the world, including the record breaking US college market Club Life College Invasion Tour, culminating in the largest solo DJ show in US history at the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles in front of a sold out crowd of 26,000. Elsewhere Tiësto launched his very own fashion brand, CLVB LIFE Clothing, started his Club Life mix compilation series and released a number of huge singles including – Zero76 (w/ Hardwell), C’mon and Maximal Crazy – each released on his own label Musical Freedom.
This year has seen Tiësto reach new heights, achieving more firsts – launching his own Sirius XM radio channel- Club Life Radio (a first for any electronic music artist); releasing his very own headphone range - AGK by Tiësto; performing at the first concert live-streamed on Twitter (in partnership with HP and Intel); his 10-part “In The Booth” YouTube documentary series; and releasing his brand new state of the art mobile app for the iPhone (the #1 selling artist app on the App Store). April saw the release of his new album Club Life - Volume 2 Miami, already surpassing the sales of his first installment, along with a series of hit singles including We Own The Night (w/ Wolfgang Gartner and vocalist Luciana) and Hell Yeah! (w/ Showtek). On top of residencies at Pacha in Ibiza, the Wynn in Las Vegas and headline performances at festivals around the globe, Tiësto embarks on his second Club Life College Invasion Tour in October, promising to be bigger and better than last year’s record breaking run.
