The Theadora Kelly Project is a Punk/Alternative influenced band led by one of the few Korean/American front women in the world of punk and alternative music.
The antithesis of Indie music, The Theadora Kelly Project is a presence that is rapidly emerging on the Pasadena and Los Angeles music scene.
Her foul mouth, satirical lyrics, and adorably crude attitude will infiltrate your ears. Her sweet smile is deceptive, this music is not for the faint of heart.
As a recording artist with Not Dead Yet Records, Theadora made her debut in September 2011, with the release of “Indie Hipster Kid” and “The Meeting Song.”
Theadora is currently finalizing tracks for a full length album scheduled for release in 2013. Meanwhile, The Theadora Kelly Project has been busy playing shows in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas.
Band mates include: Justine X (Bass) Ronald King (Guitar) and Victor Rey (Drums).
The band has been busy with many other projects as well, such as filming webseries called Dr. Who America, which will release the debut trailers on January 1st, 2013. Also scheduled for release, "The Peek Clip Series" which features clips of The Theadora Kelly Project live performances and humorous skits about what happens before the shows.
Also in the works, Theadora Kelly is filming other projects such as music related short films and documentary style shorts, currently in production, featuring other bands, artists and friends currently on the scene.
Music Videos for Death To Zombies, Indie Hipster Kid and The Meeting Song are slated for production in mid 2013. Also recording demos for a side project spin-off called "The Theadora Kelly Project Lite" which is the lighter side of Theadora Kelly, which will feature more commercially relevant songs in the genre of pop music and jazz that will reach a much wider audience.
Also busy with many writing projects and social and charitable projects on the horizon, such as benefit shows for Heal the Bay and The Shark Research Committee are in the works for the latter part of 2013.
