About The Silvertones (Reggae)

The Silvertones first recorded for Duke Reid, landing a hit with the song "True Confession." The group consists of Keith Coley, Gilmore Grant -- who wrote some of their songs, including "Stop Crying" and "Smile" -- and bass singer Delroy Denton, who left the group by the late '90s. The band left Duke Reid and went on to record the Silver Bullets album at Lee "Scratch" Perry's studio. The Silvertones also recorded songs for Studio One, from the mid-'60s on through the end of the '90s. ~ Joslyn Layne, Rovi
