The Reagan years. Killing Joke's "Eighties" comes to mind, and The Perfects are firmly rooted from that period in music. The Perfects are heavily influenced by the sounds of Duran Duran, The Cure, New Order, and much of the Alternative New Wave while infusing a very modern appeal with their 21st century production values giving The Perfects a distinct sound of their own.
