The Chevin are quickly becoming one of Britain's newest and best rock bands on the scene. The quartet from a small town outside of Leeds, are picking up steam with a Summer tour opening for Franz Ferdinand, and a performance on the Tonight Show with David Letterman later in the Summer. Previously seen supporting White Lies, The Airborne Toxic Event and The Pigeon Detectives, as well as a show at SXSW 2012, the band released their debut EP ‘Champion’ on Fierce Panda at the start of the year. Named after a hill in their hometown of Otley, The Chevin were formed in 2010 and focussed their energies on perfecting their sound in rehearsal rather than playing live shows. They recorded a complete demo version of Borderland at Girelli’s home studio, and used the results to pickup management before self-funding the recording of the Borderland album under Noah Shain’s (Skrillex, Fool's Gold) expert guidance in a vintage recording studio in El Paso, Texas. Now with a completed full length album, and a busy summer schedule, The Chevin have all the attributes needed to be the UK’s next international breakthrough band.
