Wisconsin native Sean Carey honed his considerable chops (he has a performance degree in classical percussion) as the drummer and pianist for Eau Claire-based indie pop sensations Bon Iver. Conceived and composed on the road, and executed during tour breaks, Carey’s first solo outing under the moniker S. Carey combined a traditional rock band setup with elements of chamber pop, fusion and jazz drumming.
