Ryan McAllister has been writing, recording and producing music for the past decade. He is the former lead singer/songwriter for Dakona. In 2001, the young Vancouver quartet was the subject of a seven label bidding war and signed with Madonna’s Maverick Records. They released “Perfect Change” and toured North America several times performing with Lifehouse, Michelle Branch, Jason Mraz, Tonic, Better Than Ezra and many more. Following his stint on Maverick, McAllister began producing records. He has produced dozens of albums at Five Acres, a charming barn turned studio situated on an acreage outside of Vancouver. In 2007 he co-founded indie alt folk trio Cowboys & Indians who continue to fill venues in Western Canada. McAllister's music has charted on Billboard in both Canada and the US and has had dozens of film and TV placements including One Tree Hill, Northshore, Wes Craven's, "They", MTV’s Real World, and America's Next top model. In 2011 Ryan released his first solo album, “Music for a Rainy Town” and continues to tour North America in support of it.
