In 2011, Ryan sold the company and started working on his new project, Treehouse.

Treehouse makes use of short HQ videos, quizzes and badges to help users learn web design, development and iOS and Android development. The service is a dual tier, with rates from $25 per month for a silver subscription and $49 per month for a gold subscription. Treehouse has already signed on blue chip clients like Estee Lauder, Disney and Zappos. In 2013, Treehouse received $7M in "Series B funding" from Kaplan Ventures.
Treehouse headquarters are located in Orlando, Florida and in Portland, Oregon.
As part of altruist events to support education and technology spread around the world, Ryan Carson has started campaigns to offer scholarships which let students learn programming through a gold subscription to Treehouse without paying anything. The campaign invested $6 million in education for students worldwide in 2012.
