About Roxanne Emery
With her debut headline show at London’s Hoxton Hall selling out in just 40 minutes, Roxanne Emery is set to become the country's most irresistible new pop star. She spent November 2011 touring the UK with X-factor winner Joe McElderry and was such a success, that she was then invited to perform as ‘Special Guest’ on all 23 of Matt Cardle’s UK tour dates in March 2012.
Roxanne’s debut EP 'An Introduction to Roxanne Emery' was released in June 2011 and entered the iTunes Pop Chart in the Top 50. Roxanne’s second release, entitled ‘Turn Back EP’ was released in April 2012 and entered the iTunes pop chart at number 17. Roxanne is currently in the studio recording her eagerly anticipated debut album.
Her writing is an understated, subtle delight, producing perfect pop songs, but each concealing a hidden heart. This emotional honesty has built her an army of loyal fans and in September 2011, when she uploaded an acoustic recording of her original song "LATE" to youtube they ensured the world new about it! Within hours the video went viral, and became the #1 – Top Favorited video in the UK. In December Roxanne released a video of her performing a cover of Enrique Iglesias’ ‘Hero’ at The Royal Festival Hall, the video received over 100,000 hits in its first week.
Roxanne has also been making waves in the US, when hit MTV show 'Awkward' chose her song 'All That I Am' to feature on the closing scene of the season finale. ‘Turn Back’ from her debut EP has also been featured on ‘The Real World’. She has also performed at legendary US venues 'Music Box' in L.A. and 'The House of Blues' in Chicago.
